October 12, 1998: A Vaughan Williams Commemoration

Ralph Vaughan Williams was born on this day in 1872. A good deal of this program is therefore connected to Vaughan Williams.

Today is also observed as Columbus Day by many companies in the US, so this program touches upon a secondary theme of water and ocean.
