December 12: Assorted Seasonal Sounds

The Peninsula Women's Chorus, based in Menlo Park, and the Music Department of Stanford University have new releases this season. Selections from their new CDs are featured in this program.

The California Bach Society is based in Menlo Park. Their new release, Musica Barroca, includes performances by soloists well-known to Bay Area audiences, plus some other interesting persons. In particular, Perry Cook (see below) is a researcher at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA).

The "Pony Tracks Ranch" selections come were recorded live in a concert given at the residence of Jacques Littlefield in Portola on 12/5/94. The music room there houses C. B. Fisk organ op. 91, a large residence instrument.
