The coronation of Britain's
Queen Elizabeth II
took place 45 years ago
this month (2 June 1953). In commemoration of this event, the
Coronation was rebroadcast on KZSU on Thursday, June 18.
This program comes from
EMI's
CD release of the coronation, CMS 566582 2,
which to the best of my knowledge has not been distributed in the US.
The audio was originally recorded from BBC landline feed to EMI
studios. As such, narrative from the radio announcer and other spoken
word sometimes takes precedence over the musical material. The text
