Circus Lupus at Dischord/Southern - sparse, but I hold out hope that someday there may be more than four names and two links on this page (though I am sure the good people at Dischord have way better things to do, like put out Bluetip records).

History of the band, in Italian. No, for real. Anybody wanna translate for Italian-class-dropout mio?

A funny little history-of, with quotes, from the usually-evil-and/or-boring ArtistDirect network (I guess this is #2 on the list of ArtistDirect's redeeming qualities, right after the Black Sabbath panties I got from OzzyDirect...).

Circus Lupus were fucking great. Buy both their full-lengths - Dischord keeps em in print, and lucky us, Super Genius includes the Cubist Production 7" and Solid Brass includes the (Joan Jett-produced!) "Pop Man" 7". There is no earthly reason not to get these records right this minute, they are so good. The perfect kind of arty-but-not-too-arty, challenging but not irritating, and there is something magic about the combination of the Chrises (Thomson and Hamley, later reunited in The Monorchid to similarly smashing good effect), plus the gal in this band is the drummer for a change, and she too is fucking great.

Um, right - DC hardcore with smart lyrics (smart like Red Monkey, not smart like Rush). Yeah!
