We're in constant need of clever hands and creative minds to keep
KZSU Radio up and running. Most people want to DJ a music show, but
we also need people for news, sports, engineering, public affairs,
publicity, promotions, live music, graphic design and general
radioactivity. No experience is neccessary -- we'll train you. If
you already have broadcast experience, please
contact the Program Director
to find out more about on-air eligibility requirements.
The easiest way to join, especially if you want to be a music DJ,
is to come to one of our quarterly informational meetings. You can
learn more about how the station works, and also apply for our
free broadcast training course
(usually 7 to 8 weeks). You
can download the application for the broadcast training course as a
Word or
rich text document.
The station is open to volunteers, from students to any community
members. Send mail to
publicity@kzsu.stanford.edu,
or drop by our periodic staff meetings. The location varies, so
we suggest meeting at the station, in the basement of Memorial
Auditorium about 10 minutes ahead of time. KZSU's entrance is between
MemAud and the Graduate School of Business, toward the Memorial Way
side. (If you're still confused, we've got more detailed
directions.)
You may also choose to subscribe to our low-traffic mailing list,
by sending an e-mail to
majordomo@kzsu.stanford.edu
with "subscribe announce" written in the body of the
message. By doing this, you will receive information from us regarding
all pertinent station affairs, including organizational meeting
reminders.
