PUBLIC TRANSIT DIRECTIONS:

From faraway points, take CalTrain to the Palo Alto - University Avenue station. Head towards the University gates (on the southbound side of the station). The street you're now on is Palm Drive - should be obvious from the huge palm trees on either side. If you see shops instead, you're on University Avenue - turn around and go the other way. University turns into Palm when you hit campus.

When you get to the near end of the Oval, the University's front lawn, take the very last left before the road forks and starts curving. You're now in a parking lot. Continue to the T end of the parking lot, turn right, and go through the arch in the Business Management School building. From here, follow the sidewalk to your left, under the little walkway and past the potted trees and the little fountain. Turn right at the giant garbage enclosure et voila, you're there!

From Palo Alto and surroundings, take the bus to the Palo Alto train station or the Stanford shopping center. (VTA buses 300, 22, and 35 and SamTrans buses KX, 390, 280, 281 and 295 and the Dumbarton Express all go to or near these stops.) From the train station, follow the directions above. From the shopping center, catch the Marguerite (the free Stanford shuttle). For Marguerite maps and schedules and more transit info, check the University's transportation website.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Coming via Route 280: From 280, take the Page Mill Road exit. Northbound, turn right (towards the bay); southbound, turn left onto Page Mill at the stop sign.

Take a left on El Camino Real. Take another left at Embarcadaro/ Galvez (just past the football stadium, about a mile north of Page Mill). Stay in the left lane of Galvez where it splits.

You'll reach a 4-way stop (cross street Campus Drive, 4 lanes). Continue straight.

Then take your 1st right (Memorial Way.) Follow the sidewalk toward the building on the left of the street (Memorial Hall) and follow the walkway around to the right side of the building. In the basement corner of that right side of the building is KZSU.

If you're coming via 101 (either direction), take the Embarcadero Road/Oregon Expressway exit (this is a complicated multi-ramp exit). From 101 northbound, you take the 3rd ramp (Embarcadero Road West, Stanford University). From 101 southbound this is the FIRST ramp. Embarcadero Road is a 25mph zone, so be careful. Eventually you'll cross El Camino and enter the Stanford campus, where the name changes to Galvez. From there, follow the directions above.

**parking: Stanford has restricted parking during business hours (M-F 8-5), with most areas requiring permits. During those hours, park only in designated visitor or time limit parking areas (meters or pay lots). The lot at Galvez and Memorial is partly a pay lot, partly a permit lot. Watch the signs and bring lots of quarters. Outside business hours, you may park in any permit-only area other than handicapped.
