FOOTBALL RETURNS, SCREWING UP OUR SCHEDULE. Yes, Stanford football broadcasts will generally be happening this fall on Saturdays around noon. This means that Soul Heaven will be on sporadically, if at all. We will try to let you know in advance when we can, but you'll just have to try your luck (or visit the "Sports" section of the KZSU webpage for the schedule.
RAYMUNDO JOINS THE SOUL HEAVEN CREW!
DJ RAYMUNDO, former host of "MHz" on KZSU, will be bringing his years of experience as a hip-hop dj to the show, spinning and mixing LIVE. Raymundo says "to be honest, even though I do a hip-hop style show, I always find myself spinning more soul\ than hip-hop...it's in my blood!" He'll be focusing on the richer, deeper and funkier sides of soul (especially soul drumming). Raymundo begins his monthly slot July 20th. Don't miss it!
SIDEKICKS MR. SPARKLE and BONES D'IVORY ROUND OUT THE SUMMER LINE-UP!
Proving that two heads are better than one (at least where SOME heads are concerned), co-hosts MR. SPARKLE and BONES D'IVORY officially join the Soul Heaven roster this quarter." Known for her anything-goes show "The Mr. Sparkle Challenge" (Tuesday nights from 9 till Midnight), MR. SPARKLE will be joining THE DEAD KENNY G'S on his monthly slot, beginning July 27th.
Regular listeners of the old "3-Way Blues Caravan" will remember BONES D'IVORY for his excellent musical taste and his ability to keep host SMITTY RAY BARLOW on a tight leash. BONES is now a regular co-host on Soul Heaven, bringing the world his own take on Soul with the legendary "Cold Cuts". Join these two knuckleheads on their monthly slot beginning August 3rd.
