| Staff Anthony Sanchez, KZSU News Director

A senior majoring in Communication with a Creative Writing minor, Anthony has a keen interest in the innumerable intersections of journalism, politics, law. Anthony has been involved in journalism since high school, writing for the local newspaper and producing a news show during a two week internship at KPBS public radio in San Diego. This past summer, he researched and created a resource for local Open Government laws at the California First Amendment Coalition. Anthony has also had leading roles in various political campaigns, including campaign manager for Jason Overman's City Council race in Berkeley and coordinating the GOTV for the entire city Hayward in John Dutra's State Senate campaign.
Micah Cratty, Assistant KZSU News Director

Micah Cratty is a junior at Stanford, who, after extensive waffling, decided to major in International Relations. Micah also has minors in Creative Writing and Spanish if he ever ends up taking the last two classes he needs for it. Micah's interest in journalism lies at the intersection of his passion for storytelling and foreign affairs. Micah is particularly enthralled with radio due to its isolation of the power of the human voice.
Robert Samet, Reporter

Robert’s engagement with mass media and American politics began shortly
after September 11 and led him to cultural and social anthropology. Just a
few years before returning to graduate studies, he worked as a brand
strategist and advertising consultant in Manhattan. Robert drew on this
experience in his recently completed M.A. thesis an ethnography of a public
service campaign dedicated to terrorism preparedness. As a third year Ph.D.
student, he intends to expand his study of media-politics to encompass
issues of globalization, neoliberalism, and the naturalization of
emergency.
Alyssa Battistoni, Reporter

As a junior majoring in Political Science, Alyssa has always been interested in politics
and current events. When she took a class in the Art of the Audio Essay (PWR 2 doesn't
have to suck), she became fascinated with the creative challenges that the medium of
radio presented. She has been away from campus for the past year on adventures in New
Orleans, Washington D.C., and Oxford and is excited about combining her love of radio and
politics by working on The Stanford Current now that she's back on campus.
