The live at kzsu 1998 CD contains a sampling of the many artists who have performed in the KZSU studios during 1998.
Most of the recordings are taken from Wednesday Night Live, a 10 year running weekly program showcasing underground local bands (Green Day and Primus amongst other household names had their turns here years ago.) Two of the tracks are from a multiannual event, humorously known as The Day of Noise, during which Bay Area musicians participate in 24 hours of live improvisation.
The artists appearing on this album have generously donated their live tracks so the proceeds from this CD can be used to revive KZSU's live studio gear. In return, we hope this album introduces these artists to listeners far-afield of the Bay Area.
