a few more scraps of info
Not the '80's punk band Red Scare, and not the Arizona (?) emo band Red Scare - this Redscare has no space, see? They're heavy and hardcorey and Elizabeth has this fantastic throaty scream and I fuckin adore em. So sad they only ever released one song (but maybe they'll get together that discography CD - let us all cross our fingers, shall we?).
The story, in the words of Dave Farrell, their bassist:
"We started playing together in 95' as a three piece. Then it was Greg and Elizabeth Schneider(siblings) and I, with Greg playing drums. Cary joined in 98' so Greg could play guitar. Greg played in Tunstin Gat, Multi-Facet, Poison pen and Uranium 9 volt. Elizabeth played in Poison pen. Cary played in Poison pen and Conviction. I Played in Both Hands Broken, and Malcriada. Currently, Greg plays in a band with Jason from Pinhead Gunpowder (I don't know if they chose a name yet) Elizabeth is attending SF State and musically inactive. I mostly do solo recording at home.
"Unfortunately, the only thing we ever released was 1 song on a 7" comp called "Artificial Something" on Out of Many, One Records. We had enough material for an LP but broke up to soon to record it all. The only other recordings are a 5-song demo(pre-Cary) and some 4-track recordings we did in our practice space in Oakland. We played at Gilman a lot, mostly with "post-Neurosis" bands like Dystopia and the like."
