"Anybody who reads my reviews on a regular basis knows I dig records with collector-doofus appeal. It should go without saying that any 8" record qualifies in that regard. Fortunately this record has even more going for it. MELT BANANA are a band in a league of their own. There are other extreme hardcore bands out there who are experimental and unique but M.B. are more than that. They area giants amongst infants. Masters amongst pupils. Kings amongst serfs. Nobody can do what they do and nobody can adequately use words to describe them. You've just got to hear it for yourself. On the flip side, THREE STUDIES FOR A CRUCIFIXION play a rapid-fire brand of spaced out thrash that is dark, searing and crushing. Their sound is nestled somewhere in the same dimension as CATTLEPRESS, IABHORHER and A DEATH BETWEEN SEASONS. Yes, it is that good and that malignant. I definitely hope to hear more from this band!"
