opinion
I found Hiding Place in the dollar bin at Amoeba a few weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to listening. Hm. Hardcore guitars - lots of chugging and octave chords - but then over it Elena sings all sweetly. I'm really not sure how I feel about this - on the one hand, it's unique, but on the other hand, when the second vocalist comes in all screamy, that's what really gets my ball bouncing. I keep hoping Elena will bust out with the roar here but I don't think it's going to happen.
