The KZSU Short Song Marathon occurred on Labor Day, Monday September 6th, 2004 from 7:00 AM to 11:40 PM. In those 1000 minutes we attempted to play at least 1000 short songs, all sixty seconds or less in length. Other than the length, there were no restrictions on what the DJs could play. A wide variety of genres were represented, from Classical to Cut and Paste, from Hip Hop to Hardcore.
